Barbara's Family Childcare & Preschool provides a fun and safe learning experience for young children. I believe that young children learn best through hands on activities and experiences that foster creativity and positive self-esteem. At Barbara's Family Childcare & Preschool, children are encouraged to work and play at their own pace in a fun, safe and enriching environment. The program is designed to address the developmental, social and educational needs of each individual child.

I have worked in the Early Childhood Education field for over 30 years as both a teacher and Child Care Director. I have a BA in Photo-Journalism, an AA in Early Childhood Education and a Children Center Instructor Permit from the California Teacher's Credential Department. I have also worked as a Counselor in residential treatment centers for children with emotional and behavior problems.

I enjoy working with children and families in both an educational and counseling setting and look forward to telling you more about the child care program.
