Amazing Minds Home Daycare

Growing up as the second oldest in a very large family that included several foster children as well as a special needs sibling, I built up my share of experience caring for children of a wide range of ages: from newborn to approximately 12 years of age. I also quickly became the unofficial care provider for many of the children in our church. Then while in the military, I worked part-time as a nanny for a very energetic 3-year-old. After leaving the military, I became a mother and my husband and I made the decision for me to remain home with our daughter for her first year. Then I enrolled at George Mason University as a double-major in Economics and Anthropology. I managed to do pretty well, achieving a GPA of 3.78 while taking care of my household and caring for my two children (I count my husband too!). However, I found that I missed being with my daughter very much and decided to switch to evening classes while becoming certified as a full-time care provider. I am now licensed by the Fairfax County Office for Children and have opened a small in-home daycare. When preparing our home for the daycare business, I kept my motto in mind: I wanted to make this a daycare that I would be comfortable in trusting my daughter to.

I offer care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Monday thru Friday 6:00am to 6:00pm. For More information, please view my website.
