I have experience with bathing/grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, administering medications, and transportation. I worked in a Day Program where I assisted with arts and crafts, sports, swimming, fun outings and educational activities! Hello! My name is Alex, I'm 28 years old and originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia. I have loved working with kids since I basically was one myself. Throughout my teenage years I worked with children with special needs aged 6-15. I attended Kutztown University and majored in Special/Early Education. I have acted as full time childcare for three families in the states spanning from 2-4 children aged new-born to 13. I also spent a year overseas as a live-in Au pair for a family with two children (4 and 7 years old) in Essex, England. I have been every combination of full-time, part-time, after-school and as-needed (nanny/ babysitter/ teacher/ childcare provider) for many many families over the years. I maintain great relationships with all of these parents and children, and am very happy to have been a part of their learning and growing up! I received a degree in Educational Theatre and Childhood Development and have held multiple internships and jobs in the K-12 world. I am very creative and love playing games and doing crafts (instead of plopping the kids in front of the TV)! I have been babysitting since the age of 12, and have been a full time nanny for the past three summers. I have experience with kids of all ages, from infants to tweens, have nannied for families with up to five kids, and have some experience with children with special needs. For the last 14 years I have dedicated myself to being a stay-at-home mom, but now that all of my kids are in school I'm looking to work outside of the home. Looking for part-time, full-time, date night, afterschool care work. I have 10+ years experience working with special needs children in an educational setting and 15+ years babysitting/nannying. I have worked with children from ages 3 - 14, but willing and excited to work with newborns, infants and toddlers! I have my own vehicle (a Subaru so driving in the snow is not a problem!), I am a non smoker and I LOVE animals! Would be happy to make dog-walking part of the routine aswell! I was working as a para in the special education program at an elementary school right before covid hit. I have been out of professional work since May, so my availability is very flexible and I would be very happy with a full time position, but part time would also work well with my current work.
