Home Care Provider Looking To Give Families Quality Assistance
I was employed in the mortgage industry for 23 years. After a company layoff, my mother was the recipient of a hip replacement and diagnosed with early dementia. For the last 4 years I have been able to provide full-time in home care for my mother, because of my sudden change of availability. The layoff couldn't have happened at a better time. I am responsible for bathing and dressing her, food preparation, pill distribution by schedule, transportation to and from doctor's appointments, scheduling physical and mentally stimulating activities, and other duties.
It has been a joy to assist my mother during this time of need and I couldn't imagine not having the ability to provide care for her. My goal is to supplement my income by providing the same quality of care to other families in need of a care provider and treat their senior as if he or she were one of my own family.
