Certified Personal Care Assistant
My interests are wide, but after working in the personal training field for so long, I have found that my senior clients are my most inspiring. I love working with them and have found we energize one another. I would love to branch into the senior care giving arena of life. I volunteered at Sunrise Living for patients with Dementia and Alzheimer's. I enjoyed every minute of it. We worked with severe dementia and slight dementia. I enjoyed laughing and trying to be a light in everyone's life. I will be starting nursing school next year and Geriatrics will be my focus. I have a high value and ethic system. I was raised by an incredible family, my parents have been married for 52 years. All 3 of us children are college educated and we all have successful lives. I learned my incredible work ethic from my father who was a farmer and became a top-level executive through hard work and perseverance. I am reliable and I have a great sense of humor and I am high-energy.

Compassionate Care Provider Available For Part/Full-time Companionship, Housekeeping And Meal Prep.
I grew up in a large family of nurses. Starting at age 6, I volunteered every summer at the nursing facility my mother worked at, then went to the nursing facility my sister worked at for 14 years. That experience prepared me for many things to come in life. My true passion for care giving is deeply personal. I lost my mother in May 2011, and my father in March 2017. My sister and I both helped care for our parents through that process until the very end. My mother's care involved Peritoneal dialysis, wound care, medication, bathing, meals, transportation, then finally, hospice. My father had 4 different battles with cancer. I spent 6 weeks at Mayo with him, during radiation, and was his sole caregiver. He passed on home hospice at my sister's house. I spent roughly 4 months there helping care for him. Feeding tubes, medication, pain management, wound care, and the best companionship of my life. A fun fact: I'm a skilled chef and used to own a food truck.
