Babysitter Available for Daytime and Evening Hours, Some Weekends
I am the oldest girl in a family of eight children. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time taking care of my siblings. I learned my craft at the loving knee of my mother. I started babysitting at the age of 12. I continued babysitting until I got married and had children of my own. I was considered the "mom" in the neighborhood where all the friends of my children hung out. Always room for one more at the lunch table for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I have worn many different hats during my lifetime. I worked as a waitress, cook, dishwasher and at one time I owned and operated my own restaurant. For a period of 12 years I drove school bus and managed an average of 50 children. In the meantime, I also babysat for my grandchildren and now my great-grandchildren. I worked at Wayne State University as an executive secretary for the dean of the College of Science until I retired. I am still active and have my own transportation. I enjoy children, love to play games and interact with them. I consider myself a laid back, easy going person. I will spend endless hours with my own great-grandchildren teaching and playing with them. I will also with your children no matter their age. In my spare time I like to read, sew, do crafts, and just have fun with my family and friends. I urge you to not let my age deter you to consider me to care for your children.
