Ruthnie is a home daycare provider licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Her license allows her to care for up to 8 children in a warm home environment in Springfield.

Ruthnie has been a provider since 2009 and her license was most recently renewed by the EEC in April, 2018. As a licensed provider, Ruthnie receives training in safe sleep, childhood nutrition, medication administration and childhood development. Every year she is required to renew her pediatric CPR certificate and attend at least 10 hours of professional development training.

Every year, a Licensor from the EEC's regional office does an unannounced home-visit to assess program quality, health & safety practices, and make sure Ruthnie is meeting the EEC's requirements, including regular progress reports, daily attendance tracking, monthly evacuation drills, etc.
