Prince of Glory Lutheran Church

1357 W. 14 Mile Road, Madison Heights, MI

Costimate: $189/wk

Prince of Glory Preschool is committed to a Christ-centered education which promotes physical, social, and emotional development through hands-on experiences. This is created by playing, exploring and learning with others in a fun, safe, and healthy environment.

Along with colors, numbers and the alphabet, we will also teach your child the great Bible stories like Moses, Noah, and Jesus.

We have been in Madison Heights for 40 years as a preschool and 50 years as a church.

We encourage character building, teaching respect and integrity along with service to others.

We believe that children learn best through doing rather than observing. Pretend play, toys to build fine motor skills, bikes and balls to build gross motor skills; these are all examples of hands-on learning.

We are licensed by the State of Michigan and follow all childcare rules and regulations including teacher to student ratios.

We celebrate holidays with parties and special activities, like festive stories, crafts and snacks.

Visits from the pastor are included in the regular schedule.

Field trips, classroom parties and fundraisers are some of the ways we get the families involved in the experiences of your child.

As a smaller school, we can offer more personalized contact. You and your child will get to know the teacher and develop a good relationship.

Learning Bug Preschool

1924 Romeo St, Ferndale, MI

Starting at $200/wk

Learning Bug Preschool believes that children learn best through play and experiences. We firmly believe that children learn by doing, getting messy, investigating their questions, and problem solving with their friends. They learn by playing games, using their imaginations, expressing their emotions, creating and exploring the world around them.

As teachers, we set up intentional play activities and explorations that meet the needs of individual students. We question and extend their thinking and play to help them learn and grow. We provide high quality instruction, and care for every student who comes into our classroom. We intentionally plan, and organize the classroom so students have the opportunity to develop in the areas of social/emotional, language, literacy, math, science, creative arts, fine motor, and gross motor.

Learning Bug Preschool implements a theme based curriculum. It is designed to facilitate learning through hands-on-activities; both teacher-led and student-led. We offer lessons and activities in the areas of language and literacy, math, science, creative arts, gross motor, fine motor, and social skills (character education). It is based on current research state and national standards, common core, and aligned with the kindergarten curriculum.

It is our goal for students to develop the dispositions and skills to become lifelong learners, and be successful in both kindergarten and their personal life (socially and academically).
