Little Acorns Daycare's mission is to serve the families in our community. Families need assistance in many areas and we are equipped to meet their needs through quality care and referral services. Quality is measured in many ways in early childhood. We have a safe and clean building, with security in place to keep our children safe. Our only public entrance is locked tight with a Secured Door Fingerprint Entrance. We do internal inspections weekly of our classroom, supplies, and the general building. Education is the most important part of our vision and our main key to quality. Our director is pursuing a PhD in Early Childhood Education. Each employee is encouraged and enabled to take higher education courses by paid release time and paid tuition. Every course that is studied and each workshop attended brings a greater level of understanding to the staff. This understanding provides our client, the children, with child care workers who know how the child's mind works and how to best serve this young population. Classes also provide our staff with a high level of professionalism. This helps us to provide support the the wide variety of family issues that arise in our center. We take pride in our education of our children. We are a Head Start center and a center that is rising in the ratings of STARS; currently we are at 3 of a possible 4. We will continue that pursuit to the highest level. Our faith-based statues allows us to minister to our families in unique ways. Lessons on life choices and prayer are offered through our staff.
