I have a great group of children that are looking for a new playmate to share smiles, laughter, and fun. I have one full time opening for ages 1 1/2 to 4 years old. I have been providing child care in my home for 35 years. I began by caring for a neighbor's child while I was at home with my own young children. My plan was to enter the work force after the children began kindergarten, but, before they began kindergarten, another family in the neighborhood needed child care. And so began my career in child care. As the years went by, my children went to middle school, high school, and have finished college, and I still have "children at home". I fell into child care by accident, but after all these years, I still find it a fun way to spend each day! I strive to ensure a safe, nurturing, and homelike environment for the children in my care. We have a wonderful playroom for the children. This provides a fun and safe area that is just for the children. Our backyard offers outdoor fun for all! The yard is enclosed with a 6' privacy fence and the play area is mulched with lots of play equipment. There is plenty of grassy area for running and playing. Our home is smoke-free, pet-free, clean and well-organized, while still being welcoming and comfortable. Our day is routine and lightly structured, I keep meals and nap times on a consistent time schedule. During the "school year", we have planned learning activities. Our activities are pre-planned and are included in the monthly newsletter and calendar. I try to keep the learning fun, age-appropriate, and engaging for all ages of the children in our group. I provide the extra attention that home based care provides, along with preschool activities that promote early learning in a much smaller setting. I was registered with Action for Children 1989 through 2016. Sadly this program has been discontinued. My husband and I have been fingerprinted and have background checks with local and federal databases, including the sheriff's office and a background check with Children Services. I have also completed over 200 hours of training in many aspects of caring for young children and the business of home based child care. Come visit Michelle's House!

I recently moved to Delaware, Ohio and will be starting at home child care at the beginning of August. I have a bachelor's in nursing with critical care nursing experience in a hospital so I can handle essentially any dietary or medical need that your child may have. I have taken nutrition classes and offer nutritious snacks and meals for my kids. I also know a wealth of information about breastfeeding and newborn care, part from being a nurse and part from my own experience and the love I have for newborns and children! I have three children, ages 1, 2 1/2 , and 4 1/2. If I can find the right families, I would love to do part time (Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am-5:30 pm), so that I can still take my children to the park, zoo, etc during the week. But, I am willing to add all day Friday if I can't find a few families that fit a part-time schedule. I live on a quiet street in a subdivision on the West side of Delaware that has a fenced in backyard. Because of my hope for part-time clients, I will be charging hourly instead of weekly. I charge $5/hr for first child, $8/hr for the second. If more than two children, we can discuss a rate. My ultimate goal is not to run a big daycare filled with tons of kids, but to just have a few children here that I can really focus on and give the love and attention they need! I'm very energetic and love to physically play with my kids and to help them come up with creative games and crafts. I discipline using fair warnings in a calm tone, and creative consequences (i.e. you threw the toy, now the toy is put up.) I will work with parents on any issues that may arise and keep them well informed of child's progress. I also love teaching when time permits and have many pre-K learning books as well as access to ABCMouse.com to help your child learn about the world around him! As a fair warning, I do have two large dogs. They are behind a tall gate or outside while children are here. Although they have no type of aggressive history, simply for insurance purposes, I will never allow the dogs to be with the children unless I am escorting them outside or into their area. If you have concerns about the dogs, please voice them! You can text or call me if you would like to set up an interview. 419-202-2565.

Welcome ~ I offer in-home childcare and I am currently interviewing to fill a part time infant or toddler spot! I only work with one family at a time for a highly personalized experience. I have two girls - newly 6 and newly 4 - who love babies and toddlers! 1-3 days per week is ideal for care as I also homeschool my girls throughout the week. I have offered childcare in this way for the last 4 years and my most recent family started at 4 months and he is moving on to a full time preschool program so my availability is late March/ early April but the start date has some flexibility. We are a Covid cautious family as we have a higher risk member of our household. We keep our bubble very small and this is an important part of finding the right fit for us. When the weather is nice we will still do outings regularly, but we avoid indoor areas and follow all guidelines. Our days include morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack; circle time (seasons/ weather/ letters/ numbers/ songs/ music/ stories/ themes); arts and crafts; basic Spanish; indoor and outdoor play for both structured and free play; story time; spontaneous dance parties and kid yoga; quiet/nap time; a daily report card and more! Pre and post Covid we enjoy memberships to many fun places in Columbus - the zoo, COSI, Ohio History Museum, Franklin Park Conservatory, etc. During Covid we have been exploring the metro parks and finding fun learning and science activities at home and around our neighborhood! I hold a Masters Degree in Education and have over a decade of experience working with kids of all ages as a School Counselor, as a mother of two, and as a caregiver for the last several years. Babies in my care will receive plenty of attention, cuddles, socialization and a variety of sensory experiences. Toddlers will have many opportunities to explore their environment, experiment as the 'tiny scientists' they were born to be, and learn social skills, manners, and language development through themed lessons and self-directed and structured play. The premise of Little Adventures is that learning occurs best through play and when the process is fun, kids develop a lifelong interest in learning. I am located in Sharon Woods/ NE/ southern Westerville, close to both 270 and 71. Little Adventures holds an EIN and is tax deductible. Feel free to message me for more information or to set up a time to check out our space!

It's my philosophy to provide a warm, loving environment to foster a positive self esteem and confident social skills. I feel it's also my job to prepare children for preschool, as it is tough for children when they first enter large group environment. If you choose to have your child enroll with me, they will be participating in all of these activities: Daily circle time with stories, puppets, finger plays, songs, and rhymes. We do cognitive activities such as math, sorting, matching, sequencing, and simple sciences. Your children will enjoy music and movement with instruments, bean bags, scarves, and streamers. Offering fine motor activities; blocks, puzzles, peg boards, and beads. I provide outdoor activities such as planting seeds in the spring-time while also measuring their growth, sand/water exploration, bubbles, and drawing/painting on the sidewalk.
