About the business
Welcome ~
I offer in-home childcare and I am currently interviewing to fill a part time infant or toddler spot! I only work with one family at a time for a highly personalized experience.
I have two girls - newly 6 and newly 4 - who love babies and toddlers! 1-3 days per week is ideal for care as I also homeschool my girls throughout the week. I have offered childcare in this way for the last 4 years and my most recent family started at 4 months and he is moving on to a full time preschool program so my availability is late March/ early April but the start date has some flexibility.
We are a Covid cautious family as we have a higher risk member of our household. We keep our bubble very small and this is an important part of finding the right fit for us. When the weather is nice we will still do outings regularly, but we avoid indoor areas and follow all guidelines.
Our days include morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack; circle time (seasons/ weather/ letters/ numbers/ songs/ music/ stories/ themes); arts and crafts; basic Spanish; indoor and outdoor play for both structured and free play; story time; spontaneous dance parties and kid yoga; quiet/nap time; a daily report card and more! Pre and post Covid we enjoy memberships to many fun places in Columbus - the zoo, COSI, Ohio History Museum, Franklin Park Conservatory, etc. During Covid we have been exploring the metro parks and finding fun learning and science activities at home and around our neighborhood!
I hold a Masters Degree in Education and have over a decade of experience working with kids of all ages as a School Counselor, as a mother of two, and as a caregiver for the last several years. Babies in my care will receive plenty of attention, cuddles, socialization and a variety of sensory experiences. Toddlers will have many opportunities to explore their environment, experiment as the 'tiny scientists' they were born to be, and learn social skills, manners, and language development through themed lessons and self-directed and structured play. The premise of Little Adventures is that learning occurs best through play and when the process is fun, kids develop a lifelong interest in learning.
I am located in Sharon Woods/ NE/ southern Westerville, close to both 270 and 71. Little Adventures holds an EIN and is tax deductible.
Feel free to message me for more information or to set up a time to check out our space!
