About who needs care: Client needs assistance transferring (use of wheel chair), toileting, caring for catheter, grooming, dressing, eating, taking medications, and showering. He is currently on hospice and has assistance with nursing needs, and CNA help with showers/bathing. He also needs engagement and enjoys exercise, football, reading the Bible and praying, listening to music, reminiscing conversations, time with family and friends, and going out for strolls. He lives with his wife, and has children near by.
About the care needs: Strong and able to assist transfer with extensive assistance with the use of gait belt; skills and experience interacting with clients with dementia; must be calm, patient, flexible, and able to allow client time to respond
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
