About who needs care: Husband - Stroke resulted in brain damage. Dementia. Still cognizant of everything that goes on but difficulty speaking. Incontinent- he changes himself but bed pads and usually bed needs changing. Very nice man - never gets angry. He likes to watch TV and needs help with remote. Dresses & showers himself but needs clothes and towel to be laid out. Needs to have juice, water brought to him and told to drink - he doesn't feel thirst. Wife - recovering from 3rd foot surgery. Non-weight bearing. Needs help with anything that needs carrying. Needs help doing most things during recovery. Light housekeeping- laundry, kitchen cleanup, vacuuming, trash, cat litter cleaning. Meal prep and feed pets. Home has a St Bernard mix and 3 cats. She uses a walker in the house and rarely goes outside. She is a fall risk. About the care needs: Someone quiet, calm but likes to converse. It would be great if they can check her feet daily and report any concerns to me. Meal prep to accomodate her likes, dislikes and food sensitivities. Careful driver. Interest in art perhaps as my mom is an artist and has painted and shown her work in the past but cannot do it anymore. She like to talk about it though and has some desire to do it again.
