"This review is based on my case. My mom passed away back in October last year due to Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Before going into a hospice program, my mom was in the hospital and was about to be discharged, I needed to choose a hospice for her. One thing that Iknew for sure was that she was not going to go anywhere but to my house to spend the rest of her life, however that long would be. I had honestly had not thought about a hospice until I was told by the hospital about them. I then had to choose. With the limited time that I had, I had 3 final hospices which I interviewed. I am so glad I chose AMED. Amed absolutely impressed me with their service from the start. One thing right off the bat that was a plus for me was that an RN comes to your house at least twice a week which helps with the care. The others that I interviewed, only come out once. Since my mom came to the house, they sent all of her equipment asap. In fact, as soon as I chose AMED, they brought over all of the equipment and meds that she needed like hospital bed, oxygen, chair, medicines. About 15 minutes after she arrived at the house, an RN came by to check up on her and explain everything about what AMED was going to do for my mom to have best quality of life. All through my last weeks of my mom's life they were there for her and me. In my case, like I state in the beginning, was absolutely superior. I would recommend AMED. If you are ever in position like I was, give them a call. ... show more
