Dear Childcare Parents,
Let me tell you a little about myself and the care I offer in my home. I have chosen childcare to hopefully benefit another child's education and give them the individual care that they can't receive in a daycare setting. I believe in a fun, safe, and educational environment. I look to create a warm, loving, and equal opportunity atmosphere treating each child with the love and respect they deserve. I like to follow gentle/attachment parenting methods that build a bond rather than build a wall. Children grow better when they feel safe, respected, and loved so I try to give them that security to help them thrive. Although I provide in home daycare I never look to work with more than two families at a time. Keeping my attendance numbers small will help the children build friendships in a calm environment while still offering them one on one time with me.
I have been providing official childcare as a nanny for 4 years. My childcare employment has been in a private situation working with kids ranging from newborns to elementary age. I have experience with disposable and cloth diapers as well as the potty training process. I take direction well and am big on communication. Not only do I need to build a relationship with your child, but I need to build one with you as parents so we are able to work and co-parent in a way you feel works best for your children. I have been certified in CPR/first aid as well as maintaining a food handlers card so I am familiar with the procedures. I have reliable transportation for emergencies and I can provide insurance information as well.
I have chosen to nanny from home during the week to support and facilitate the homeschooling of my children. Since I home school it allows me to have full open availability in my schedule and the educational materials to work on things like teaching ASL, shapes, colors, counting, math, animals and their sounds, as well as letters and their sounds. I do play dough, blocks, reading, flash cards, pretend food, puzzles, and interactive play. Interactive structured play time is based on the time of day. Nap times are set based on your child's schedule and napping areas are available for both baby and toddler alike. Indoor and outdoor activities vary based on the seasons. All activities are supervised by me at all times.
I truly hope that you and your little ones find your experience with us a positive one. I am always open to questions or suggestions so feel free to keep that line of communication open. All of them are open to be contacted at anytime and are more than happy to speak with you. I have enjoyed getting to know you and I look forward to working with you.
Thank you so much for spending time with us.
