Live-in Caregiver For Artsy Old Lady

Part Time
Live-in caregiver desired for my artsy and friendly elderly mother (LVNS, CNA's or similar preferred). She needs a sweet skilled companion now after having broken her leg from a fall. She is currently doing very well in rehab and is expected to be coming home in the next few weeks. Pay is $2, 400/mo for five days a week (and nighttime help as needed) with weekends off. Our artsy lady will need supervision for walking with a walker, help with getting on and off a potty, help with bathing and dressing, help with brushing hair and keeping nails tidy during the day, and only as needed at night. She is very pleasant to be around, and typically only needs to potty once per night, and we will set up a nanny cam or similar so you can hear if she needs you. She will also have a push button "great call" device for emergencies or paging. She will need someone who can prepare simple meals and do light housekeeping as well as drive her to doctor's appointments (must have your own car--we reimburse for gas). She needs supervision for taking medication, and regular taking of blood pressure and blood oxygen (with finger oximeter). Daily notes and communication with family members is required. She loves small children and appreciates short outings to the park to watch children play. She also loves to read and appreciates a good meal. She is hard of hearing and will need help with her hearing aids (changing batteries daily and changing wax guard periodically). She takes frequent naps so you may take breaks as needed. We are offering a lovely and cozy room with hand-painted Matisse on the wall and cute daybed for your use. We have high speed internet and a relaxing yard. There are two other friendly women that live on the property but they spend most of their time in their own spaces. No smoking, no pets, no couples or overnight guests. Experience required. Must be strong enough to steady someone over 100 pounds if they get off balance. Must be legal to work in US and have a valid driver's license and own car with insurance. Car needs to be able to accommodate a folding transport wheelchair. Drug testing and criminal background check and references required. Home is near the High School.
