Updated 6/7/16. Current Availability: ***** I do NOT have any infant availability until August, 2017. ***** - 1 Full-time space (Ages 2+ only). About Carlee (The Owner): I have a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and have worked in many different settings with children including the NICU, summer camps, a home daycare, and large childcare centers. I opened Tiny Explorers in Fall of 2015, and became licensed through the State of Illinois in March of 2016. I am passionate about creating a warm and home-like environment that encourages active exploration and instills a life-long love of learning. I am also CPR certified. About our household/where we are located: Our home is located near the intersection of Sullivan and Mitchell Roads (on the border of North Aurora). My husband, James, and I live in our home, along with our room mate, Rob, and our medium sized and extremely friendly dog, McCoy. We are also expecting our 1st child in December, we are calling him or her Batman at the moment. About our daily routine: The children participate in free play activities throughout the day. The toys are regularly rotated so they are exploring new and challenging materials. In the morning, the children participate in a short group time where we read a book, sing a song, and explore the felt board. As a group, the children engage in a daily science, art, or mathematics activity that is geared towards their development and interests. We believe children learn through active, hands-on exploration, and plan activities that encourage curiosity! Everything is very hands-on and sometimes messy too. We spend quite a bit of time outdoors each day either going on a walk, playing at our local park, or investigating the toys on the deck. The children take a daily nap from 12:15-2:30/3:00. There is no screen time throughout the day. The important details: Breakfast (7:45), lunch (11:30), and afternoon snack (3:30) are provided with the cost of tuition. Healthy meals are prepared using fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain breads, and lean meats and milk. Children's diapers are checked/changed AT LEAST every 2 hours, and more frequently if needed. Detailed "All About Me" sheets are sent home on a daily basis so that parent's have a full understanding of their child's day. Parents are encouraged to call or text throughout the day to check in on their child, and pictures are frequently sent to parents so they can see just how much fun their child is having!

Lindsay says "I had the pleasure of having Carlee as one of my daughter's very first caregivers. As a first time mom, I was extremely nervous about returning to work and...

I have been a child care provider in my home in excess of 16 years. I have an associate's degree in Child Care and Development and have worked both in child care centers in addition to being a provider in my home. I have two children, ages 16 and 14. I am currently working with the children that I care for teaching them some basic sign language that I have learned to help with their communication development. One thing that I take pride in providing is the use of a child care app called Brightwheel so that you can stay tuned in to what your child is doing while they are in my care. Some of the information included on this app are diaper changes, foods, drinks and naps. We love to go for walks around the block, a drive to the library, trips to the nearby neighborhood park, water play on hot days and lots of fun age appropriate activities! As your care provider, I want to work in conjunction with you to help your child along in their development in any way that I can. I am hoping to form a long term relationship with your family. I do appreciate a family that is flexible should I need to run my children to a school activity before or after school, allowing their child to join us in the car. (I can give you advance notice to these outings most of the time) We are a non-smoking family with a friendly dog named Maddie (a Beagle that keeps to herself most of the day and is great with the children), and I would love to hear from you! PLEASE NOTE: My current availability is for a part time or potentially full-time spot for either an infant or a young toddler starting after May 1st. I am open to taking on a full-time child between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 or 4:45 p.m. with some flexibility in the exact times. These hours allow me to be available for my own children's extra curricular activities. Thank you for taking the time out to read more about me, I look forward to hearing from you if my availability suits your needs!

WELCOME! Big & Little Home Daycare offers a safe and engaging childcare alternative for parents in the Aurora community. I offer a loving home environment where children have ample space to explore. I emphasize learning through play by introducing children to a variety of activities including art, music, movement and literature. The children in my care are my first priority. I believe that serving their interests take precedence over any other task. My program encourages each person to grow and learn through active play and socialization. I believe my method of positive guidance provides children with the right balance of structure and freedom that fosters critical thinking, confidence and autonomy. SERVICES: I am currently offering daycare services on a full time, part time or drop in basis for children up to five years of age. 136 Tupelo Ave Naperville, IL

My name is Keyana; Early Start Home Daycare is licensed by the state of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Early Start Daycare has been in business for twelve years. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I take training throughout the year to be aware of the new and upcoming changes in the field of early learning and development for young children. I have over 20 years of experience working with young children, adolescents, and teenagers. I am married and a mother of three. Early Start believes that the first years of a child's life are the most important for helping to lay the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development. We also believe that every child is unique and has the right to high-quality child care and age and developmentally-appropriate learning and exploratory environment. We think the environment should help build positive self-esteem, self-discipline, and social and emotional competence. This is how I have chosen to spend my days. I am a very tolerant individual with enormous patience; this, coupled with my love for children, makes me a nurturing childcare provider. Having three children of my own, I understand how difficult it must be to leave your child in someone's care. Because of this, I can appreciate the trust you must put in me daily. Therefore, my goal is to build your trust by being professional, dependable, honest, and, most importantly, caring for your children the same way I would want someone to care for my children. 407 N. Bennett Geneva, IL

Grannycare in Geneva is a DCSF licensed, tax deductible, daycare, with all the qualifications to meet your family needs. We care for infants thru school age children, with a preschool setting and FT licensed assistant to bring fun to the learning process. We work with AOK for school readiness, and are involved with Fit for Kids, a consortium in Kane County that supports wellness, nutrition, fitness. We are registered with Illinois Gateways Registry for Early Childhood Education and are involved with these organizations to excel in providing your children with the best, most recent programs available. www.grannycareingeneva.com is my website, and I invite you to read all the information to ensure full disclosure of my mission philosophy to see how we compliment one another. Licensed daycares have to follow high standards and are the safest because of a wide range of criteria we have to meet. At Grannycare, we enjoy the beautiful setting overlooking the Fox River, and the spacious areas of an entire 9 room house, with a wonderful yard and many other outside spaces to explore and grow. The great benefit of a small family child care home is that it can provide a safe and loving environment in which all the children can learn and grow; developing life skills that will enrich their lives forever. Institutional environments will always be in their lives, and their own family environment is the nucleus from which their lives evolve. But family environments often don't include the same social mix as a family child care home. Many children grow up without learning the simple, important lessons of life -like sharing, taking turns, and being patient. Sometimes it's because they are the only child or because they are not close enough in age to a sibling. Grannycare in Geneva is all about restoring the simple things in life. I had a day care in the early '70s. I was the mom of four children born within five years; it was a fabulous time. I remember teaching my children manners: how to share, how to play fair, how to say "I'm sorry " when they hurt someone - all the behavior traits needed in a healthy social culture. That is what my daycare/family child care is all about.

Elizabeth C. says "My husband and I could not be happier with Grannycare in Geneva. Our son started attending full time when he was about nine months old, and he loved...
