Take A Break Playcare offers on demand babysitting in a playroom. Parents drop off children for staff supervised play. We accept children ages 3 months - 13 years. We do not accept any sick children. We are not a daycare facility. At a basic level, we offer babysitting in a storefront playroom. What's the difference you may wonder? We don't offer an educational curriculum, look for signs of developmental delays or abuse. We simply let the kids play, engage them in play activities, and ensure they are playing safely at all times. Reservations aren't required for regular drop off play but are recommended for infants and Fri/Sat night. We offer flexible on-demand scheduling and affordable rates. Our staff is CPR/First Aid certified, fingerprinted and background checked. Our center has video surveillance. We have several bi-lingual staffers for Spanish and Arabic. A 2 hour min charge per child is required for each stay. We now offer a walking pickup/drop off program to schools/camps within 3/4 mile of the center. Children must be ages 5+ to participate in the walking program. 48 hour advance registration is required and additional rates apply for the walking program service. Cancellations for the walking drop off/pickup program not received within 24 hours will be charged an early cancellation fee. We also daily full day and half day summer camp programming in addition to regular drop off play. During summer camp, which runs June 22 - August 28, children ages 3+ that attend during our summer camp programming times of 9-12 and 1-4 will be integrated into the daily themed activities.
