Compassionate Registered Nurse Seeking A Full Or Part-time Position Caring For Those Individuals Requiring Professional Nursing Services In The Privacy And Comfort Of Their Own Home
After recently moving to the island of Oahu I am eager to kick start my nursing career by providing licensed home care services to those who need it most. The nursing profession is my passion and I am dedicated to serving those in need with a professional and personable demeanor. I enjoy getting to know my clients and find it very important to establish trust in order to help alleviate any additional discomfort or fear they may have.
I have recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from University of Detroit Mercy. I have passed the national licensure exam for nurses and am currently a registered nurse in the state of Hawaii. I graduated from nursing school in good standing with honors recognition. Also, I am an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society of Nursing. Lastly, I am BLS certified and keep up to date with renewals every two years.
I have two years experience working in a hospital setting as a patient transporter for a multitude complex patients with a large variety of disease processes. I also have over a year of nursing clinical experience where I practiced the skills of a RN two to three full days a week. In this setting I cared for many different types of patients and in doing so provided all types of care. This includes but is not limited to medication administration (IV included), bathing, toileting, education, dressing changes, taking vital signs, monitoring, discharge teaching, Foley catheter insertion, care and removal, PEG tube management, tube feeding and suctioning.
I have shadowed in the emergency room on many occasions where I observed and assisted nursing staff in a variety of complex situations. I have shadowed in a neurosurgical intensive care unit and have shadowed a home care nurse as well.
In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, going to the beach and scuba diving. Overall, I love being outdoors almost as much as I love nursing.
If you would like any additional information or would like to communicate further about my past employment history please feel free to contact me at any time.
