Reliable Home Care

Hello! Thanks for visiting my profile. I'd like to start by acknowledging the importance of a trust-worthy and reliable professional to care for your loved one while in the comfort of his/her own home. Trying to find someone with a genuine passion to care for your loved can be quite stressful. Having that security of knowing your loved is treated with respect and dignity while your away is essential. You can rest assure you're loved one is safe with me. I have 10 plus years of experience in assisting clients with personal care. I received my CNA license in 2008. I've assisted clients in many different backgrounds to illness, bed ridden, dementia etc. Although I'm well versed in providing the needs of multiple clients at once, I find it more beneficial for the client to receive one on one care. It's rewarding to serve others in need, and I look forward to serving you.

I would like to commend Michelle for the amazing job she did as caregiver for my parents for almost two years. She started out supervising dad with his exercises and ended up taking care of just about everything for mom and dad. And she did it all with a smile. It was hard for my parents to accept that they needed help, but Michelle quickly won them over with her cheerful friendship and caring. As she began to work more hours for mom and dad, she took care of more and more. She doesn't like to sit and do nothing so she cleaned bathrooms and the kitchen, did laundry, cleaned floors, checked that meds were taken, made lunch, changed sheets, and went for walks with mom and dad. She and dad worked out a schedule of exercises and walking and, with her encouragement to walk just a bit farther each day, he was able to walk all the way to the dining room. That was something we didn't think he would ever be able to do!

10+ years experience as a CNA. I took early retirement from managerial position in healthcare to care for my parents, now both deceased. I've had the honor of several clients through care. com. I have a passion to help others, particularly the elderly, to live their lives safely, and as most comfortably and enjoyably as possible. I have strong medical experience, worked in hospital setting, 15 years managing a surgeon office. Experienced with medication ordering, set up and dispensing, home care assistance, dementia and Alzheimer's care, hospice, doctors appointments, errands, laundry, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship. I've done supplemental care in Assisted Living facility, and in-home. I've had the honor and privilege of being at end of life's journey under hospice. Dependable, trustworthy, flexible, and extremely caring, patient, and kind. I believe every patient needs an advocate, and enjoy serving this role. Non-smoker, and prefer the same of my clients.

My mom needed some help around the house and transportation to and from Dr. appointments. Mom was initially hesitant to accept help. We interviewed a number of people for this position. Then Kim came. She charmed the socks off mom in about 30 seconds, showed that she could communicate extremely well with mom (who is hard of hearing), was perceptive, warm, patient, and kind. Kim quickly gained mom's trust (which is very hard to do), did mom's laundry, cleaned her apartment, fixed her lunch, did some shopping, took her to Dr. appointments, and became her friend. I need to add some detail about the Dr. appointments. When Kim accompanied mom to an appointment, she'd make sure mom understood what the doctor was saying, made sure that everything my mom wanted to talk about was covered, advocated for my mom with the doctor and the office staff, and helped making and scheduling the appointments. Kim is wonderful. Anybody who has the privilege of working with Kim is lucky indeed!
