Flexible Full-Time Nanny
I first began my nanny career the summer I turned 16. The H. girls were 1 and 7 years old and I was to feed them and keep the two girls entertained for the duration of the day, throughout the summer. I continued to watch the girls, occasionally on the weekends until I left for college. Moving to Wilmington, I met the L. family. I was a nanny for this family of five for nearly 3 years. I would drive to their home and complete a list of household chores before picking their 3 girls up from school. The girls were 7, 8 and 10 when I started. Once I brought them home from school, snack and homework came first. We would play games, bake snacks and on the days that required it, I would drive them to their various after-school activities. I was also able to completed my first 3 years of college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where I studied English in hopes to become a children's book writer. (I still have hope!) I moved back to Charlotte to be closer to my family and to complete my last few semesters at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and became a nanny for the P. family. The P. family, whom I still babysit for on occasion, needed me to care for their 7-month-old and 2-year-old twins. I also watched their 7-year-old on the occasion that she was home from school too. Lisa kept the girls on a schedule which helped in teaching the twins to potty train as well as, feeding them, playing time, and nap time. I would also clean up after the girls, and help with the dishes. We went on many walks, played almost everyday at their local park, ate many picnics, played an abundance of games, and attended story time at the bookstore. The last family, whom I am still presently with for a short amount of time, is the M. family. I have been the nanny to their three young children, The two girls are 3, and 4 and their son is 6. Much like the P. family, I care for their son after school, on the occasional Saturday or when he is off from school. The girls and I spend the day building forts, and either playing in their playroom, or outside. I have learned of the various activities offered to children throughout the week in Huntersville and the surrounding areas including Discovery Kids, the Nature Museum, story time at various locations, as well as parks, the Davidson Sandbox and Kids Play in Concord are among the list. I feed them lunch everyday, and occasionally breakfast. I also drive them to dance, speech and preschool on the days that call for it.
I love being a nanny, and learning new ways to care for children. I like to think I can keep up with them, coming up with activities to keep them busy and happy. I also have experience with bringing multiple children to the pool. I am energetic, fun, loving, and attentive. I have my own transportation and am comfortable with pets. I look forward to becoming a part of another family!
