The Merage JCC Early Childhood Learning Center is looking for experienced, qualified, passionate, and enthusiastic individuals who want to work in a Reggio Emilia inspired Preschool environment in an Infant/Toddler classroom. Candidates must have experience as an Infant/Toddler teacher. We are looking for full-time early childhood educators that will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shifts will vary during school hours, between 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The school environment is a creative, safe and nurturing place, where children explore and learn through an emergent curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Primary Responsibilities for Early Childhood Employees:
-Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school.
-Provide responsive, quality care, addressing children's social, emotional, cognitive and motor developmental needs.
-Consistently treat children, parents, colleagues and community members with dignity, respect and compassion.
-Create a safe, healthy and secure environment for all children, that promotes inquiry and open-ended exploration.
-Uphold Title 22 regulations, in particular keeping children within sight and sound at all time.
-Participate in all training programs, conferences, seminars, courses and other aspects of professional growth provided by the Merage JCC and other resources. 15 hours of continuing education is required annually for all faculty staff.
