When I entered 4th grade, I joined the Miami Children's Chorus and was placed in their advanced chorus by 6th grade. Once I entered middle school, I discovered my passion for songwriting and began to write and perform my own songs. After spending 5 years with the MCC, I left the choir to go to high school at New World School of the Arts, joining the vocal program. It was there that I took my first private lessons, training me in the classical and operatic style. In high school, I joined my first band, Flashbang, which became increasingly popular among high school students in my area, especially after winning the Felix Varela Battle of the Bands in 2011.
