They went to Memphis in 2020 and made it to the semi-finals in the International Blues Challenge Johnny Winter recorded one of Robert's songs, "Sittin' In The Jailhouse". Robert began his music journey with piano lessons for a couple of months at the age of 12 but he was far more interested in sports and quit. He started playing guitar at the age of 16 and started singing about a year later. He started writing soon after that.
