During the Civil War, Berkeley was occupied by General McClellan’s troops. While at Berkeley, General Butterfield composed the familiar tune “Taps”, played by his bugler. At Westover, we tour the grounds of this beautiful Georgian mansion, its amazing gardens and secondary buildings.
