The Giggling Pig is a place where everyone is welcome to join in the fun and be themselves. So in celebration of MLK and our mission to inspire unique expression we’re painting these colorful hands of hope. Students will practice their blending techniques as they depict the colors of the rainbow. Then, after they've learned all about ROYGBIV, they’ll experiment with mixing all those colors together to get an array of skin tones. While exploring color, we see that though there is a whole spectrum of different outcomes, they all contain parts of the same rainbow.

Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and and just plain fun! Each week we offer a variety of different media projects (acrylic painting, watercolor, plaster sculpture, mixed media, collage, printmaking, and more!). Projects change each week making it easy for campers to attend multiple weeks of camp without repeating projects, but further exploring the range and depth of mediums. We ensure a good balance between 2D and 3D projects, so whether your young artists prefers to build things and be hands on, paint, draw, or print things they'll be more than pleased! Our camps are not only fun, but an opportunity for young artists to explore art mediums that they typically do not get in school, education in art terminology and art history (including current artists). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

Our Pottery Classes at The Atelier School of Art provide a hands-on experience in clay sculpting and ceramics, tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Younger students (ages 6 and up) will focus on basic hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, coiling, and slab construction, helping them develop foundational skills in working with clay. Older students will have the opportunity to explore more advanced techniques, including wheel-throwing, glazing, and surface decoration. With guidance from experienced instructors, students will create unique, functional, and decorative pieces while learning about form, texture, and craftsmanship. Whether learning the basics or refining their technique, students in our pottery program will gain confidence, creativity, and an appreciation for the art of ceramics in a fun and supportive environment!

The Kids' Digital Animation class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session for ages 8-11, introducing young artists to the basics of animation using iPads and Procreate Dreams. Students learn frame-by-frame animation, timing, motion, and character movement through fun, engaging projects. This class encourages creativity while teaching essential animation principles, helping kids bring their drawings to life in a dynamic and interactive way.

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic and slime daily. Although there are options to take part in painting on canvas instead. ​ We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities!

Spend your vacation getting creative! Come on over to Studio on the Common for some nonstop, art-filled fun! We'll have a new project each day, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week (but we don't recommend signing up for the morning and the afternoon on the same day as the projects do repeat). With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast!

Campers will be painting on canvas, Illustrating in their own unique style, taking fun daily quizzes and learning about art through the lens of global culture. Students will explore the unique wildlife, extreme environments, and rich history of human exploration in both the Arctic and Antarctic. Through guided lessons and creative projects, we’ll transform scientific observation into expressive artwork. Each week focuses on a new aspect of polar life—from detailed wildlife illustrations of penguins, seals, whales, and arctic foxes, to icy landscape paintings inspired by glaciers, auroras, and drifting ice floes.
