Campers will paint and decorate mini pumpkins, play in pumpkin spice playdough and orange kinetic sand, and explore a sink-or-float experiment using real pumpkins and apples. We’ll taste different kinds of apples, make apple stamp art, and run through active games like pumpkin relay races and an apple balancing challenge. The day wraps up with a cozy apple snack to celebrate the season. On October 2nd, it’s time for a Monster Mash Bash! Kids will create their own silly or spooky monster crafts with googly eyes and fuzzy pipe cleaners, whip up glittery monster slime in the slime lab, and dance along to Monster Freeze Dance. We’ll have a “Feed the Monster” beanbag toss game, green ooze sensory bins, and encourage everyone to wear their silliest monster socks or headbands for extra fun. Finally, on October 3rd, we’ll wrap up with Spooky Science & Silly Spells. Campers will mix bubbling witches’ brews in mini cauldrons, decorate their own magic wands and potion bottles, and enjoy a special storytime with friendly witch and wizard tales. The day will include a broomstick obstacle course and a magic potion juice bar where kids can mix colorful, safe “potions” to sip. Friday is PIZZA day. No lunch required.

This is an after school film class for Fulton Science Academy. Grades 3 - 5. Local filmmakers will train the students in camera operations, lighting, film crew management, and producing. Kids will work in teams to develop and produce their own movie, music video, or TV show.

On this memorable experience, you will get to see the behind the scenes and actually be a part of a live recording of your very own song. You will meet us in our studio for this unique event. You get to choose which music genre from our template and develop your lyrics before you start recording. Once you are finished you will have “Art” that will last forever. No prior musical experience is needed.

The Marmillion family saved La Plantation Laura in the 1990s to commemorate the site where the West African tales of Compair Rabbit and Compair Bouki (Leuk The Hare in Senegal) were first collected in Louisiana. Between 1808 and 1850, more than 400 slaves of West African origin lived, worked and died on this plantation, home to several families of European origin and adjacent to an Amerindian village. The Historic Riverlands site was founded to celebrate the unique history of St. John the Baptist Parish and the contributions of African Americans to the development of American music and the civil rights movement.
