Children of all ages, at every stage, can learn about music! Engage your little one in a multi-age music class which provides opportunities not only to learn musical techniques, styles, and about different instruments, but also supports social and emotional development.

Auria is an ensemble of the most vocally skilled female participants drawn from Gloria and Divino Voce choirs. For students not previously accepted into Auria, an audition is required to participate in this ensemble (registration will be opened to those who are selected to participate). Satisfy your curiosity, and experience a fun and thorough introduction to throwing on the potter’s wheel. Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more in this exciting introduction to throwing fundamentals. Your instructor guides you through the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots on the wheel. Special handbuilding project can possibly be included. Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students any level experience on the potter’s wheel. Those who have more experience will complete more pieces/ advanced techniques. Those learning will master the basic skills to create wheel thrown pieces. Register for all classes, as we will build on experience of the students. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will showcase their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design. ( Please bring a bag and some towels, paper to wrap all of your treasures and take home.) Projects are new every session, so sign-up for both June and July sessions.

Little Folkies is excited to offer classes at KIDDIE ACADEMY this Summer 💛 Season 2026! Little Folkies' folk music class that welcomes toddlers and preschoolers to come together every week to sing like one big family! There is never a dull moment in this class, with the teacher leading the students through fun and engaging finger play activities, hand movements, fun lap songs, call and response singing and hands-on jamming with shakers, wooden kids instruments, harmonicas, and more! The sweet, gentle and simple songs of the folk tradition have lyrics easy enough for children to sing along to and creating positive early musical memories for them. Here at Little Folkies we share the knowledge that music is at the core of every human being, and we believe that all children should experience genuine, heartfelt, acoustic music making which will increase their musical confidence and give them a healthy relationship to music right from the start.

In Music 2, children will begin to experiment with ways to play musical instruments, accompany a song with rhythm, and act out lyrics through movements using both gross motor and fine motor skills. Viva La Música en Español! Canta y Baila Conmigo, is the very best research-based program that combines music education and language immersion. Intended for both the native Spanish speakers and eager Spanish learners, Canta y Baila is enriching and fun! Offering a playful, interactive atmosphere where language learning is integrated naturally and organically in the musical experience. Children are effortlessly absorbing and using the Spanish language, through the irresistible sounds and rhythms of Spanish speaking countries, while exploring melody, rhythm, movement, instrument and prop play each week. Each week, our littlest Broadway fans and caregivers are introduced to exciting new songs, characters, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life by a team of professional teaching artists. Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway & Me's unique curriculum is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate. Each class incorporates activities that are designed to support your little one’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development. This is an outdoor class from 10:30am-11:15am on Saturdays, located at the Lincoln Common Plaza, 2345 N Lincoln Avenue. In this collaborative, creativity driven class for grades 7–12, students will bring stories to life through the art of puppetry. From the first spark of an idea to final performance, participants will work together to create original stories, design and build puppets, and develop engaging characters. Students will explore storytelling, voice, movement, and basic performance techniques while learning how to communicate clearly and connect with an audience. The class will culminate in a special performance (or performances) for elementary-aged students, giving participants the opportunity to share their creativity and bring joy to a younger audience. This is a perfect class for students who love acting, storytelling, art, or simply creating something meaningful as part of a team. *The tuition includes a $20 supply fee to cover materials.
