I have been a student of music for 12 years. My musical influences include Classical singing, choir, opera, and musical theater and I also enjoy rock and alternative music on my own. My teaching style can best be described as self-paced and upbeat. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe that everyone has music ability, and I want to help you explore what you like and what will make you the most confident in yourself. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music literacy, vocal technique, pedagogy, dealing with performance anxiety, and self-efficacy. I like to tell my students that the best part of singing is that it helps me escape from stress! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students reach a lightbulb moment and watching their reactions to other success. My favorite performance was Performing in Guys and Dolls in May 2024. My students love that I am always encouraging and uplifting them to be the best. I primarily teach voice lessons, but I can also teach beginner piano and music theory/literacy.
