I have been a bass player in a gigging band for about 4 years and have been playing guitar for the same amount of time. I started playing bass and guitar because of bands like The Ramones, Queens of the Stone Age, and Nirvana, along with a multitude of different influences. The way I teach is not rigid, after creating music for 4 years and learning more about my instruments of choice I have learned to just have fun with it. Even an intermediate understanding of the fretboard is enough to do so much with. Using basic chord shapes and practicing your favorite songs, you can learn to love playing music and to continue expanding your understanding of music and your instrument.
