Hello and Welcome!

We started Lola and Friends Childcare Services (L.A.F.) as a way to provide the same kind of warm and loving support we received from this community back when our daughter was much younger and we were new residents in Mountain View. We truly believe in the African proverb that "it takes a village to raise a child" so it is our hope that we can become a part of your "village" and support team as we work together to raise your child to become a kind, loving, compassionate and productive member of our global community.

Our mission at L.A.F. is to provide the best quality of care for your child. We are dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing, caring and fun place where each child can develop in a safe surrounding just like "home away from home".

We are licensed as a Family Home Day Care provider under State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division in San Jose, CA. We have been cleared by US Department of Justice to have no sexual abuse or criminal records of any kind. We are trained in CPR, First Aid, Health and Safety in addition to Child Nutrition and we are certified volunteers for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the City of Mountain View.

We have approximately 30 years of childcare experience between us, either as parents ourselves, taking care of the children in our large extended families, volunteering or being a childcare provider for children of all ages.

We also provide healthy daily Breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch and Afternoon Snack based on the food guidelines issued by the State of California.

We would love to host a site visit for you and your child so please do not hesitate to reach out.

We look forward to welcoming all of you to our home.

We have been signed up with Lola and Friends since the end of 2019 and cannot recommend Johanna highly enough. Even before our son started there she put the time in to get to know us as a family unit, to understand our priorities and make sure we all communicate clearly about what's going on with him. He's been going here since he was about 6 months and thrives there. Johanna is the kind of caregiver who is extremely loving towards the little ones and lets them explore and play while providing a very safe environment. She is also meticulous in organization and keeps us up-to-date with daily logs and a steady stream of photos and videos of our little one. We feel so lucky to have her look after our baby!

Little Prodigy Preschool and Day Care Center

830 East El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA

Costimate: $367/wk

Thank you for your interest in Little Prodigy Preschool and Day Care Center.

A family owned and private preschool which originally was established in Los Altos in 2006, Little Prodigy opened it's mountain view center in 2008 as a center for early childhood education.

Little Prodigy Preschool and Day Care Center consists of over 4000 square feet of space, separated into four classrooms, serving from ages 3 months to 5 years (upon entry into kindergarten).
In addition, there is a beautiful playground separated into two age levels. Children explore and learn safely with toys and equipment appropriate for their age group.

The philosophy of Little Prodigy Preschool and Day Care Center is to care for your child by offering a program which is developmentally appropriate. Children learn according to their own stages. We acknowledge similarities and differences as well as individual patterns of growth in all children. Large and small group activities, as well as teacher and child directed activities, allow children to explore their world.

Our accredited staff brings a variety of skills and knowledge of early education to the classroom. Throughout the day, they plan and implement an age-appropriate program with activities to keep children interested in learning while they play. Teachers also take continuing education training seminars to keep up-to-date with new teaching methods.

We continue to believe that parent involvement and communication are important to the growth and success of the preschool child. Parents, teachers and children are an important team needed to work together to assist in the young child's growth. At Little Prodigy Preschool and Day Care Center we invite parents to participate with special projects and events.

As you consider a preschool for your child, we ask that you give Little Prodigy Preschool and Day Care Center an opportunity to be a vital part of that very important decision.

Yesterday, today or tomorrow, our school continues in a direction to educate your child. We invite you to take the time to visit our center and share our years of experience in early education.
