A child learns by building on the skills that they have mastered. It is important to know what stage a child is in for each area of development and what they should be able to do next developmentally. Each child is unique and should never be compared to another child. All activities should be designed to promote development in all areas of development. Speech, gross and fine motor, social/emotional development, as well as Cognition and Self Help Skills are all important areas of development to constantly be building on. I work with children between the ages of 2 months and 3 years because I want to specialize in Infant/ Toddler Development. The child's brain is learning everything and being completely formed by the age of three years old. It is so vital that a child learns to trust his environment and that his needs will be met. In very young children self help skills include hand washing, tooth brushing, beginning to learn simple dressing skills such as putting on and taking off their shirt. Problem solving is mastered through play such as cause/effect toys where a child learns that if they do one thing it will make something else happen. They master puzzles and shape sorters, blocks, and other toys all age appropriate for their ages and skill levels. Pro-Social activities and play will be encouraged throughout the day. Sharing with friends will be encouraged while a child learns a healthy concept of 'mine and 'me'. Speech and communication will be the basis of the day with speech modeled and encouraged. Songs and books will be constant throughout the day. Motor skills are developed through self feeding, building blocks, using crayons, markers and paint brushes. Doing activities with crawling, kneeling, standing on one foot and another, walking, and running are all activities to develop large muscles. What is NeighborSchools? NeighborSchools helps experienced caregivers launch and operate licensed home daycares in Massachusetts. With better ratios and experienced caretakers, home daycare allows for more individualized attention for infants and toddlers. As a parent, you get a trusted partner for the long-term care of your child, right in your neighborhood, at a price you can afford.

Welcome to Kathy's Daycare. I have been a successful Daycare Provider for over twenty years in the same home I raised my own three children. I feel strongly that young children need to be loved, nurtured, and allowed to play in a safe home. I am very caring and believe it is important to teach the children at my daycare to share, be kind and have respect for one another. Our daily activities include reading books, completing puzzles, playing both indoors and outdoors when the weather is appropriate, laughing, singing songs, enjoying snack and lunchtime together, and learning proper manners all in the comfort of a home environment. Our home has a large wrap around deck where the children love riding their big wheels, running or playing in the sand table, water table, etc. Also on the grounds is a spacious playground for the children to enjoy. I love my job. I love providing a safe environment for your children during the day when you cannot be with them, and I hope to see your child become a member of our family. I charge $8 per hour for full or part time daycare. Please feel free to contact me for more information.

MORNING DAYCARE FOR PRESCHOOL LEARNERS (2 day, 3 day or 5 day options) I am certified, licensed, and approved by the Early Education and Care department in the state of Massachusetts to provide in-home Daycare. I have been providing this service two years out of my home. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified. Over the next year, I will be teaching a Preschool Curriculum called "God's Little Explorers". The goal is to help preschoolers learn at their own pace while leaving many opportunities for learning through open ended play based learning and exploring. The curriculum covers about 40 minutes of the 4 hour day. We will have 39 weeks to cover the 28 weeks of material. It will allow for time to stop in our schedule for special events and field trips. Another hour of our day will be spent at 4 different learning centers that will be set up in my home. I have a 13 different learning centers that will rotate: 1) Preschool Art Center 2) Sensory Bin Center 3) Puzzle Center 4) Play Dough Center 5) Math Center 6) Listening Center 7) Doll House Center 8) Dramatic Play Center 9) ABC Center 10) Building Center 11) Library Center 12) Science Center 13) Writing Center I am licensed to care for a total of 6 children (my daughter is one of the 6) this fall for morning Daycare Monday-Friday from 8:00am -12:00pm. I can offer extended hour(s) if planned in advance. I will be following the Hamilton Wenham school schedule and I would love for your preschooler, 2.9 years old and up, to join us in the fall. I am a Daycare, not a preschool. But I am a mother of 3 and have a heart to train my children up in the Lord and to prepare my child for Kindergarten the following fall. I provide all snacks and employ the Yours for Children food program to report healthy balanced meals provided to the children. I also provide a tax write off for daycare children that you can provide to your tax accountant at the end of the year. I hope to talk more with you regarding your child's involvement in this program. If you would like to tour my home, I would be happy to schedule a time to show you my daycare space. My email is tricia.joles@gmail.com. 2 day preschool: $250 per month 3 day preschool: $350 per month 5 day preschool: $550 per month (following the Hamilton-Wenham School District calendar)

In my program, the kids come first. I create daily schedules and goals, with the exception to adjust my plans depending on how the children are feeling that day. I want the children to look forward to coming to their program as I want parents to view my home as an extension of their own. It is my priority for the kids to feel safe, nurtured, and loved. ABC Grow With Me Playschool is also a place for children to learn and grow. I know that children learn best through hands-on instruction, play and of course and mostly patience. Our days are filled with immersive activities, ranging from painting to storytelling, and more! One of our favorite activities is caring for our herb garden. By helping to water the garden and watching it grow, children learn important lessons about responsibility, patience, nutrition, and beyond! At ABC Grow With Me Playschool, we are a family, and children are cared for in a small environment with lots of one-on-one attention. Welcoming children of all ages, and I look forward to working with parents to create the best experience for the whole family. What is NeighborSchools?
