I am an active and fun loving mom looking to provide child/pet/home care for families in or near Woodland Park, CO. I love to clean and don't mind cooking and running errands as well. I am available Monday through Friday from early mornings until 5:30 p.m. I love children and studied Early Childhood Education in college. I enjoy educating children as well as nurturing important physical play time. I have been a mom for 23 years and have learned a lot from trial and error! I have four children, ages 23, 21, 17, and wait for it......3 years old! I also have 2 happy and beautiful grandbabies. I have lived in this area for close to 20 years and have an extensive list of excellent references. I am seeking a job in child/home care in order to be able to be with my youngest son most of the time. He does attend pre-school 2 days a week, so he wouldn't be with me every day. It is important to me that he is able to come with me to work. I became a mother at a young age and was a single mother for 17 years. During those years, I had to work 2 and 3 jobs at a time. Working 7 days a week, I missed so much of my older kids growing up. Now that I have been blessed with another child later in life, it's important to me to be there for him as much as possible. I hope you will consider me to care for your kids, home, pets when you cannot be there. I will take excellent care of them and help to instill all the good qualities we all want in our children such as respect and manners. I do not believe in physical discipline and rely on time out for younger kids and taking away privileges for older kids. I try to practice love and logic as much as possible, as I've found it to be the most effective parenting style I've come across. I read every parenting book I can get my hands on as I am always seeking to become better and better at it for my children (and yours).
