I am a stay at home mom who has opened her home to other families in need of daycare for their child. I have been a CNA for four years, which also makes me CPR and First Aide certified. I am current on my tuberculosis test :). I am available Monday thorugh Friday and am flexible on te hours that I am able to provide care during those days. Your child's day would consist of, but is not limited to, learning time, arts and crafts, outside time, rest time, and free play time. Depending on the time that your child arrives I will be providing breakfast, lunch and a light snack. Also from time to time we would be able to go on field trips to the zoo, garden of the gods, and to the park. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you

United Hearts Community School blends the Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Waldorf approaches into a single preschool class to create a rich and holistic learning environment for children. Each of these approaches has unique principles and methodologies, by using careful planning and adaptation, we incorporate elements from all three approaches. The framework to blending these approaches: Child-Centered Learning Environment: Create a warm and inviting classroom that reflects the aesthetics and natural elements emphasized in Waldorf. Incorporate Montessori's prepared environment with carefully organized learning materials accessible to children, encouraging independent exploration. Integrate Reggio Emilia's focus on using open-ended materials and natural resources to promote creativity and imagination. Emergent Curriculum: Reggio Emilia's approach to emergent curriculum, where the interests and ideas of the children guide the learning experiences. Encourage child-led exploration and discovery, allowing Montessori's self-directed learning to take place within the emergent curriculum framework. Incorporate elements of Waldorf's seasonal and nature-based curriculum, weaving in activities and projects related to the natural world. Multi-Sensory Experiences: Integrate Montessori's emphasis on hands-on learning materials that engage multiple senses, allowing children to actively explore concepts through touch, sight, and sound. Incorporate Reggio Emilia's focus on the arts, providing various art mediums, music, and movement activities to foster self-expression and creativity. Incorporate Waldorf's appreciation for storytelling, and dramatic play, allowing children to engage in imaginative and sensory-rich experiences. Teacher's Role: Emphasize the importance of the teacher as a facilitator and guide, drawing from the Montessori approach. Encourage observation and documentation of children's learning, following the Reggio Emilia tradition, to assess individual progress and inform future activities. Foster a nurturing and holistic approach inspired by Waldorf, incorporating elements of rhythm, routine, and fostering a sense of wonder and reverence for the natural world. Parent Involvement: Embrace the Reggio Emilia approach of involving parents as partners in their child's education, encouraging their active participation in the learning process.

Miss Amy's Child Care

9139 Prairie Clover Drive Colorado Springs, CO

Hi, my name is Amy and I am a licensed in-home child care provider in Colorado Springs, CO 80920 (Briargate). A bit about my child care and philosophy: I believe children love to learn and they learn best when playing, singing and dancing! I have a myriad of educational and just for fun toys and manipulatives. My goals are to provide a safe home away from home, then to prepare your child(ren) for kindergarten and teach good habits for a successful life! I emphasize what the children will need to know for a jump start in kindergarten, such as: colors, numbers, letters and their sounds, reading, cutting with scissors, simple addition and subtraction, writing letters and their name, lining up, sitting still for circle time and story time, etc. I've introduced Your Baby Can Read and Muzzy (Italian) into my curriculum and am anticipated wonderful results. We do outside play time and walks daily. (weather permitting) I do at least one field trip a month during the winter and at least two during the summer months. I make as many of the trips as educational as possible, but we do sometimes just go do something fun! I currently have 3 openings for children 12 months and over! A little about me: I have 5 kids! All but one are in school so just my youngest is in my child care. They are 19, 17, 13, 12 and 4 so needless to say I've been raising kids for a long time! Which also means your child will benefit from all those years of experience and trial and error! I did child care in my home when my older children were younger and have been at it again for a 3 years (totaling 5 years). I am a Christian so my child care does have Christian elements in it such as: stories about Jesus, daily devotional, Vegitales videos and bible songs. My hours of operation are 7am - 6pm. Rates: Full-time $155/week, Part-time (depending on the hours) $80-100/week. Drop-in care for full day (6 hours or more) is $35/day. Drop-in care for part day (less than 6 hours) is $25day. Drop-in care per hour is $4/hour/child. Before and After-School care $80/week (a transportation fee added if child needs to be picked up &/or dropped off). Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you soon! Sincerely, Miss Amy
