Early Enrichment Home Daycare

3104 St Helens Ct Springfield, IL

Early Enrichment Home Daycare offers care for children aged four weeks to five years. The daycare setting is located on the main floor of the house, with two specialized rooms designated to the daycare. The infant room has plenty of floor space, an array of developmentally appropriate toys, and a warm and colorful setting. The second room is a free play space for children aged 3 yrs+ with a host of fun activities, toys, and games. The large garden provides a great space for warm weather play, including a climbing frame with a slide! In the colder months there will be physical activities held in the living room's empty space to help burn that extra energy through song and dance, child yoga, and more. The daycare is run as a kindergarten readiness program, with a daily schedule filled with activities ranging from arts and crafts, reading time, circle time, and academic rotation circles. No child is left out of these activities as there is something in every time slot for every age and developmental level. The goal of EE-HD is to ensure that every child is physically, academically, socially, and emotionally equipped to succeed in kindergarten when they leave our care. To this end we will only accept a total of six children at any given time, and an assistant will be hired once we reach four children. License number is pending. A little about me: I have an associates degree in early childhood education and development and have almost seven years of experience working as a nanny and later as an assistant teacher in a private preschool. Whilst working on my BA degree in education I realized my passion lay with educating at the pre-k level and chose to put my BA on hold whilst I open my own pre-k/daycare. I have no children of my own at this time, just a desire and passion for the field. Please contact me to arrange a visit and to view an application packet.

Tiny Love Daycare

18 Fox Court Springfield, IL

10 mi

Tiny Love Daycare is a small in home daycare located on Springfield's south side. We care for children and infants ages birth through five years old. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM through 5:00 PM. We keep our child to provider ratios low (5 to 1), and our age rages close to better care for your child(ren). We strive to have your child(ren) feel at home while having fun and learning in a safe, fun, and structured environment. We are currently in the processes of becoming a licensed home daycare center. I have over ten years of experience in the childcare field, mainly working with infants and preschoolers. I have worked for many well known schools and organizations. I also have schooling in early childhood education and am in the process of completing all the classes required for licensing. We operate out of our home so we do not have that "center" feel. Our home is located on a dead end road and is around 1,200 square feet with a large fenced yard. We have our common living areas with separate areas for nap time or quite time. We follow a schedule daily. Our schedule includes meals and snack times, craft time, sensory play, outdoors play, nap time or quite time, free play, structured play, and curriculum.

Wainwright Family Childcare

1335 West Glenn Ave Springfield, IL

I run a small family childcare (maximum 6 children). My concentration is care for infants, toddlers, and two year olds. We are engaged in a play based learning "uncurriculum"; that is to say we learn as we play. During the course of our typical day, inclusive in our playtime is music, language development and literacy, science, large and small motor activities, socialization skills including cooperative play with others, manners, and caring behaviors. In recent years, I have taken numerous hours of continuing education in childcare specific to this younger age group, and participated in our state's Infant and Toddler Improvement Project, which was sponsored locally by our childcare resource and referral agency. In addition to my childcare experience, I have a lengthy background in emergency medical care and experience in pediatric urgent care. I have found this to be invaluable in recognizing childhood illness, and differentiating between simple minor illness and those that need the attention of a doctor promptly. This background also helps me to remain calm and collected should a healthcare or injury problem arise when a child is in my care. Lastly, I have found that it is easier to maintain a cohesive level of care for each child each day by keeping my age range relatively small. We are happy little group, and would love for your child to join us!
