Loving Care For Your Loved Ones
I spent many years visiting my grandma, taking her to shopping, to appointments, out to eat, or helping her around the house. She told me great stories, and we made many meals together. I miss her, dearly, but she went to be with the Lord, earlier this year. I've worked in an assisted living homes, and home-health, as a CNA, years ago and I have experience with Alzheimer's. My mom needed assistance, after her stroke, and I lived with her for over a year, preparing meals, light housekeeping/laundry, doctor's appointments, taking walks, and playing scrabble. More recently (spring 2011), I worked with a lady who had 1st stage dementia. She just needed someone to be with her, most of the day. I had the late afternoon/evenings with her, as a companion, we would go on walks, go shopping, eat out, or play games and watch TV at her house.
