I am a mother of three. I have retired from my career as an accountant and am interested in nannying and babysitting. I have extensive experience with infants, toddlers and children of all ages. I have also ran an in-home daycare center where I cared for up to four children at a time after I retired. I am caring, responsible, attentive, hardworking and nurturing. As a working mother, I know first hand what it's like to trust someone with your children, I will give yours the same love and attention I wanted my kids to get when I was leaving them with my nannies. Mahboubeh (Mara) is a genuinely caring, reliable, punctual and trustworthy nanny who took care of my 2.5 year old son for more than 6 months, full time. I was relieved and glad to have found Mara. My son actually hugged her at the end of their first meeting and he continued to do so at the end of each day, sometimes crying "Mara no go home!". She read books, played, ran, and talked with him, she was patient through the toddler tantrums, crankiness and magically got him to nap at the right time. She also helped potty train him. He has learnt his ABC's, numbers with her. She listened to concerns, followed requests and gave updates. She is kind but firm and consistent which is so important for the child and parents. I highly recommend Mahboubeh (Mara)

Experienced Nanny and Foster Care

My name is Sonia. I am a 29-year-old professional working full time as a counselor at a school for children with special needs. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, I am temporarily out of work. I know there are many families with parents who need to continue working during this time and need care for their kids at home. I have many years of experience with children of all ages and backgrounds. I also have experience working in an educational environment as well with kids who may need an extra layer of care (i. e. have additional behavioral or health needs). I would be happy to find a family who needs someone to provide a structured but peaceful environment for their children to continue to grow and learn during these uncertain times. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I look forward to hearing from you!

During the COVID outbreak, we were a family of four unexpectedly back in the USA for the entire summer after living overseas. Needing a quick turnaround time to hire, and concerned about our ability to find someone who could competently care for our younger child on the autism spectrum, we posted a listing on Care.Com. We were extremely pleased to have found Sonia. Her prior experience working with autistic children was a definite plus; she helped our ASD child to dress himself and do other tasks independently. She also cared for our older son, who is not ASD. She took them both to the local parks to play, read books with our older son, and played Legos with one or both of them, depending on the circumstances. Most importantly, the kids LOVED her! She was great with them, and we highly recommend her.

A FULLY VACCINATED, as of April 9, caring, dependable, organized and creative 58 year "young" mom of two sons. Have worked via Care. com for many years. Background and drivers reports available. I've taught Vacation Bible School to a class of 15 4-year-olds, administered the Accelerated Reader Program at my children's private school for 2nd and 3rd graders. I firmly believe reading will always be the basis for success throughout your child's school career and life, worked two years one-on-one throughout the Pandemic until June 4 with a severely Autistic nonverbal young adult and most recently working with a special needs elementary school student as one-on-one virtual home tutor. I always respected teachers but especially now with the demands of the pandemic. I will share my love of arts and crafts, board games and nature with your child. Technology is an important part of today's education but it must be monitored so it is not overused.

Janet has been an excellent tutor and nanny for our family this year. She is great at communicating with others, learning new techniques and technologies as we all were thrown into pandemic virtual school, helping our child with dyslexia and other learning challenges thrive in virtual school, and coming up with terrific activities for our kids (3rd and 7th grades) to do inside, outside, and around our community. Our children have learned a lot, and also had a good amount of fun in a very difficult year of virtual school. Janet is flexible, caring, very dependable, good at working with other folks, and really emphasizes that kids get outdoors and get some time to play.
