We hired Lexi in January at first with flexible hours as we were both working virtually from home and my husbands hours were less consistent. In March the hours shifted to more full time hours which we were clear we'd need at the time of hiring. She took decent care of our kids. Their basic needs were taken care. At times she did crafts with our 2 year old but majority of the time the TV was on. At times it was on shows that weren't appropriate for a two year old and baby. I didn't mind when they were both napping because everyone needs a break but the Netflix streaming did effect my connection at times working virtually. We do have options for TV watching that didn't impact my connection issues. We felt she wasn't completely honest about reasons for days off and wasn't honest in the beginning after a Covid exposure which ended with us also being Covid exposed. Had we known that she quarantined with a person Covid positive (with herself being negative) we would have waited additional time before allowing her back. We also know that she was not honest about not knowing about certain days needed off. Most recently giving us less than 12 hours notice (not sick needed off for a class she forgot to tell us about) and then shortly after giving us less than a weeks notice to end the job. Just thought maybe others should know. She clearly cares for kids but if you have a job that requires you to have dependable care, Lexi is not your person.
