About the business
OASIS is a gospel centered after school and summer program for working parents in the Richmond area. We exist to partner with parents to nurture God reliant, impact-ful members of society. We bridge the gap between education and daycare. Our staff consists of people who love God, His word, and your children! We are certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. We are trained in drawing out the inner world of a child and creating an environment where each child feels safe, capable, challenged, and loved. We care about your kids and who they will be as adults because we care about the whole person for their whole life! We care about your child, you, and your whole family!
Our after school program focuses on homework completion and tutoring so when you pick up your children, you get to have family time. We also have Bible study, art class, and reading time with a therapy dog named Hattie. When kids are done with homework, they get to enjoy time together on our outdoor playground or indoor playroom growing in their social skills and micro/gross motor functioning without even knowing it!
Our summer program offers full and partial day care as well as drop in days! You pick the weeks you need care, and are only financially responsible for those weeks! We have chapel time, craft sessions, music classes, SOL review and preparation stations, run club, pool and park trips, reading time, and field trips!
We view caring for your kids as a great honor. It would be our pleasure to serve you and get to know you and your family!

Our religiously exempt, non-profit childcare exists to serve families. All of our staff have successfully completed Virginia's Department of Education Preservice Training. Our staff is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medicine Administration as well as possessing anywhere from a bachelors to a doctorate in a child related field. We pass state inspections just like licensed facilities!

Without a doubt the most toxic and poorly managed work environment I have ever had the misfortune to be a part of. No respect, chaos, no communication. High turnover. Bad dynamics between the church and the daycare, church suing the families of former children after letting them wallow in debt. If you're a male, especially run from this place and don't let them lure you. The sexism is astounding and unpunished, there are double standards, it has not been gospel-focused in a very long time. If I have a son, I would never let him go through what I went through working here, and I wish I had listened to others who warned me about this place. The staff have been free to act however they want to. I think many of the parents feel the same way, but are too weary or afraid to voice complaints.

My daughter has been going to oasis for the past two years. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable learning environment for their child. They also have affordable prices and really care about the kids. This is my daughters second home!
