Personal Senior Caregiver
I assisted in the medical care of my 87-year-old father when he was released from a three week stay in intensive care. If our family did not step in and help him, our father was going to be placed in a nursing home. This opened my eyes as to the urgent need to help the seniors when they are so fragile.
I did some research on found that statistics show that 47 percent of all nursing home residents have chronic illnesses. Chronic illnesses are those that are ongoing, long lasting and not likely to subside. These illness include Alzheimer's disease, senile dementia, immune system dysfunctions, and a host of slowly progressive illnesses that simply do not get better. In addition the family finds themselves impoverished with one year of entering a nursing home facility.
This information is what makes my decision to help so strong. I am here to assist a family that requires in-house Custodial Care for their parent. I will assist them with their daily living needs. Which include cooking meals, helping them get dress, making sure they take their medication, and any other daily routine activities. I am available Friday, Saturday and on Sunday. This will help the primary family care giver some well deserve break time to recover for the following week.
