About who needs care: My parents are 82. My Mom is limited in getting winded walking less than a block, but does a great job being the onlycaregiver for my Dad who is also 82 but is very active but his Dementia has progress to a point where he wanders when he takes walks, & can't find his way back home. I'm looking for someone who can give my Mom a Break & take my Dad out for a walk (less than 1/4 mile)... to the beach or water front or out for ice cream.
He likes to talk to anyone, but unfortunately His word finding is getting worse. Flexible on Days & times.... Just looking for a Break for my Mom... so she can do something for herself... visit friends, relax, hit the beach, ect.
We are Looking for 3 days/wk for about 4 hrs= 12-4 p.m.
About the care needs: My Dad is in good health & physically able to do all for himself.... he just needs 24 hr care because he is extremely forgetful. Has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone... just also has difficulty expressing himself because of word finding issues.
My Dad Loves Our Family, Music, singing, dancing, Gardening/Lawn care, socializing, TV at night, Working on little projects & helping people, Watching sunsets on the beach & eating ICE CREAM. He use to sail small sailboats, Enjoyed Painting/Drawing pictures. My Mom wants to stay as independent as possible, but Dad needs 24 hr eyes on him so he doesn't wander to far. So My Mom just needs a break.
