Seeking care for my mother in her 50s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, meal preparation, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. Looking for someone with 3+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be energetic, pleasant, outgoing. My mom was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's when she was 50 (3 years ago). I'm a nurse who works nights and my dad works during the day. My mom can no longer work or drive, and I would love to have someone be able to take her places, help cook for her, help her with household chores, etc. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty. I need someone with lots of patience! My mom asks the same things over many times, is very forgetful, and it takes her a while to do basic every day tasks. She is the kindest woman ever, so someone who is just as kind would be wonderful! My mom loves going for walks and shopping. She is still very independent (no issues toileting) but her fine and gross motor skills are greatly deteriorating. She sometimes need help with certain foods (any handhelds, or anything that requires being cut up like meat, etc), she needs someone to buckle the seat belt in her car, or help her with clothes that require a zipper (besides jeans). Her long term memory is still mostly intact. She's only 53 and enjoys doing things any other 53-year-old does.
