I hold a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in Family Community Services with an emphasis on the young child. I have over seven years of experience as a teacher and manager. Our school is nationally accredited by NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation). We received the NECPA award in June 2011 and we continue to meet accreditation standards. The standards that we follow are higher than the State of Michigan's Child Daycare Licensing Standards. We offer a safe, nurturing environment with highly trained and caring teachers. Our curriculums are based on the different ways children learn and all the ways they can be smart. Flexible hours and programs that focus on meeting individual child's needs are what Tutor Time is all about! The Tutor Time Lifesmart curriculum was inspired by Gardner's theory of multiple intelligence. Because children learn best when they're actively involved, we give them the freedom to explore and discover the tools to grow in every way--cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. The principles of the Tutor Time Lifesmart curriculum follow the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice set forth by national accrediting associations.
