This course is geared toward students in grades 10-12 and is designed to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of all three subject areas on the SAT (Critical Reading, Math, and Writing). The aim of this course is primarily to equip students with important tools and techniques that will help them master each section on the exam. The course will emphasize vocabulary development, analytical reasoning, reading comprehension, grammar, and writing. In addition, students will learn useful test-taking tips and strategies that will immediately improve their scores. Before the course begins, students will be asked to take a diagnostic test that will determine their class placement. The course will run for 15 weeks on Saturdays from 9 a.m.?3 p.m. All students will be required to complete reading assignments, weekly writing prompts, usage sections, and math problem sets over the duration of the course. Vocabulary tests will be given every other week, and full-length SAT exams will be given every 4 weeks. Parents will receive regular reports of students' progress.
