Adventure Playgroup:
I have opened up my home for three children, ages 3.5 to 9, to join us on our daily adventures to the park, forest school, playdates, and theme based field trips! I belong to an active, secular, homeschooling/unschooling communityand we take part in daily outings with mixed age children. This is the perfect opportunity for parents to focus on self-care, while your child spends the day with peers in an environment with a low teacher/student ratio. This program is a fee based, drop-of, family coop, not a home daycare. I believe in fostering strong relationships with the families that I work with. We work together to educate our children and empower our families. Together we create a village for our children to grow up in. We go on daily outings, learn through play, and follow child led learning. I practice gentle, respectful discipline and model social/emotional peer skills. I allow the children to play independently, assist them with self-help skills and peer interactions, when needed, and facilitate play activities which are loosely structured around The Homegrown Preschooler curriculum themes. I have a play area and a front yard that we use for picnics, water play, and gardening, when we are not on an adventure. I am looking for other laid back families who would love for their child to join our family on our daily adventures and nature play. There will be lots of mud, bugs, and scraped knees, so if that sounds awful, it's probably not the best fit. Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm Additional hours available, upon request. Rates: Contracted Slots: $65 per day/per child $60 per day/per child for 3 or more contracted days Drop In Care or Short Term Care: $80 per day for one child, $96 for 2 children (hourly care is also available on some days, depending on our plans that day) Additional hours: Additional hours needed, outside of your 8 hour slot, are $15 an hour THIS HOME IS A LISTED FAMILY HOME. IT IS NOT LICENSED OR REGISTERED WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES. IT HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED AND WILL NOT BE INSPECTED. The state charges a yearly fee and background checks everyone living in my home. I have a commercial auto policy that covers my automobile for transporting children.
