The Alexander Garden School

We are a new, private, licensed Child Care Center opening September 2016!! Take advantage of our introductory rates. We offer full day and 1/2 days for preschoolers. We are open 5 days a week year round.

We also offer care for toddlers, butspaces are very limited. <br/> <br/>At the Alexander Garden School, we practice the Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum believes that young children learn best by doing. Learning requires active thinking, experimenting and finding out how things work. Children explore the world around them by using all of their senses (touching, tasting, listening, smelling, and looking). Play provides the foundation for academic and creative learning. Play thus enables us to achieve the key goals of our early childhood curriculum and is the work of all young children. <br/> <br/>We develop our curriculum around what children are interested in. We believe that supporting their interests and developing activities that are interactive and fun fosters the learning of all children. <br/> <br/> The main goal of our teachers is to facilitate learning by supporting a child's natural curiosity. The role of the teacher is not only to teach but also to inspire. We want children to experiment and feel proud of their personal accomplishments. By incorporating the creative curriculum at our center, we are able to support the natural curiosity of every child. Young children learn best through play and by doing.
