Our goal is to provide an environment that best promotes all aspects of growth - social, emotional, physical and intellectual. Our program is based on the awareness that most children follow the same broad developmental pattern of growth, but that there is also a wide range of individual differences. Therefore, we rejoice in the individuality of each child and base our guidance on a child's personal needs and stage of development, rather than having one set standard of expectations for all children.

At Longwood Early Learning Center our staff is knowledgeable about human development including but not limited to: cognitive development, physical development, moral development, emotional development, social development, and attachment theory. We espouse a theory of strength based, hands on approach with the children. We are here to service not only your child and make sure they maximize their intellectual, emotional, and physical development, but also form a professional working relationship with you, the parents, and all other salient systems in order to ensure quality care.

We want to make sure, as parents, you can tell us what you want for your child and we promise to deliver those services to the best of our ability. We believe in team work and always have an ongoing open conversation about your child's daily progress and interactions.

We are passionate about inspiring, nurturing, and engaging children. It is our professional belief that children can learn, are resilient, and maximization of educational capability lies not only in the work with the child but with the systems (family, educational, legal, etc.) that the child is embedded in. Our goal is to foster potential, worth, and inspire growth in children. It is our goals because we believe that children are our future, and every single opportunity for inspiration and enrichment is necessary. We take on each child as if they were my own.

We work with our children on stories, language development, art activities (fine motor skills), reading readiness, discovery in science and food, and playground activities (gross motor skills).
