I highly recommend A Long Term Companion of Huntingdon Valley, PA. From the very
first meeting with staff member, Cheryl Herman, she was immediately responsive to my
concerns regarding Mom. Cheryl has given the case such personal attention, and her efforts to make sure the caregiver is well suited to my mother's needs, genuinely exceeds my expectations of "professionalism." The caregivers that A Long Term Companion provides are compassionate, patient, and kind. They understand what the position entails and they follow through with each task. I recommend A Long Term Companion. Michele Kilstein, the owner of A Long Term Companion, is a hands-on owner who knows her clients, their family members, and her aides. I am an involved daughter of a mother in her 90s and was having a terrible time getting care for my mom. I tried many agencies and they sent me incompetent, indifferent aides who I didn't feel my mother was safe with. Michele kept trying to find someone who would work. Then she called me one day to tell me she had someone perfect for me. It has worked out great. Michele is sensitive to my mom's needs and to my needs and concerns for my mom. I highly recommend A Long Term Companion. This is not Bayada or any of the other mills where you're just a number and they don't care. They care.

The service that was provided was exceptional. The caregivers were compassionate and highly qualified. The level of care that was given was as though they were part of our family.

This agency came to mom's aid in a time of crisis, when no other agency even returned my calls. As her needs increased, so did the care and devotion from the staff. When mom recently died, our aide was there literally holding her hand. This is an agency that knows their stuff, and in this time of growing needs of many elderly, has staff that work so well with dementia patients. They also beautifully managed my father's demands as the non-patient. I am forever grateful to Michelle and Brett, the owners, and my angels (our aides). Let me just add that I can be hard to please, given that I am a health care professional in NY, but the agency was always responsive, and successfully problem-solved any expected kinks along the way.
