Joyce N. Family Child Care

I own an in home child care - preschool. I currently take children from 6 wks to 4 yrs old. Although I am licensed for up to 14 children with a helper, I am enjoying the smaller group setting of 6. My focus is creating a sense of family for the childrenand families in care. I have raised 6 children of my own, who are all amazing people, with values I am very proud of. They say it takes a village to raise a child, I believe this is true. I have had a positive impact on many children over the years. I have great references and large covered areas for the children to play. I have cared for special needs children over the years, and we practice basic signing. I regularly take classes to keep updated on child development and other topics. By the time the children leave my program, most of the children know their colors, alphabet, as well as the sounds of the letters, numbers, basic signing, basic reading, manners, respect for others and know they are truly loved by someone other than their families. Some stay longer and become familiar with sewing, baking skills. I host Alumni movie nights for small groups of the children who have graduated. They love coming back and seeing their friends and the parents enjoy a free date night. I sincerely enjoy what I do, and I especially love the babies.
