Hello! My name is Jen and I provide daycare out of my home in Pickerington, OH. I have been caring for and educating kids ages 0-10 in several different capacities since 2004. I recently relocated from Arizona to Ohio and so I do have some openings andavailability! <br/>I offer flexible hours, including part time and drop ins for established clients. I am home and I have been a working single parent who really needed affordable, safe, and flexible daycare. I strive to create that for others in need of daycare. I am 38, I have a nine year old daughter and we recently added my fantastically handsome hubby Rob a few years ago! We also have a 25 pound mini golden doodle who has been a part of our daycare and is a very valuable team member. He tends to be everyone's favorite which makes sense when you meet him. Side note he is about as hypo allergenic as a dog is able to be. <br/>Much of my background is working with kiddos who have special needs specifically ADHD and Autism. I also have 9 years of experience with type 1 diabetes including testing blood sugar, calculating proper insulin levels, managing sudden extreme highs and lows and all the challenges associated with it. I have spent a great deal of time implementing and participating in different therapies including ABA, speech, occupational, behavioral management, and music. Additionally I am currently finishing up my degree which is focused on child development and counseling! <br/>I am NOT a preschool. That being said, I have a strong background in education, and early intervention therapies which allows me to have lots of fun activities up my sleeve! The good news is that we do implement age and skill level appropriate learning activities. Self help skills cannot be overrated for our littles, so everything from washing hands, using the potty and tying shoes will be organically worked into our day. <br/>We keep our days well documented for parents. We will have cameras up shortly so that parents can log in and check out how their kiddos are doing at any point during the day. Additionally, with parent permission we will take advantage of the library, local parks, and enjoy other fun outings. <br/>I keep my numbers small because I want to provide each kiddo with the attention they need. <br/>Lastly, staying healthy is a priority, for this reason all members of our family have been vaccinated and boosted.… Read more
